Harbottle & Lewis has today announced an update to its senior leadership structure and the election of Charlie Leveque and Tony Littner as co-managing partners of the firm. Charlie and Tony were elected by their fellow partners for a term of five years, effective from 1 November 2023. Tony’s election means he will now share managerial responsibilities equally with Charlie, who has held the position of sole managing partner since June 2022.
The firm prides itself on working closely with some of the most talented, entrepreneurial businesses and individuals in the creative industries who have often achieved success in a relatively short time. Charlie and Tony are reflective of those clients, having both quickly built successful, thriving practices and are valued and trusted advisors to their respective clients. Both have a great deal to offer in providing dynamic leadership to the firm and in driving its ambitious strategy but are equally committed to continuing to provide dedicated support to their clients. The new senior leadership structure will enable Charlie and Tony to devote their time and expertise to both the management of the firm and their highly reputed practices.
Charlie joined the firm in 2007 and was appointed as managing partner in 2022. He is head of the firm’s corporate group and advises clients from a range of sectors on corporate transactions, with particular experience in advising clients in the technology, media, retail and leisure and entertainment sectors.
Having joined the firm in 2005, Tony heads up the firm’s startup and venture capital group and is well-known in the market as a trusted adviser to entrepreneurial businesses and to the investors in such businesses with a particular focus on the technology sector.
Charlie Leveque commented: “It is an incredible privilege to be appointed co-managing partner of the firm alongside Tony. In my time so far as managing partner, we have made great strides in identifying and implementing changes that will have a long term positive impact on our business. Tony and I have a shared vision on the future of the firm and I am looking forward to working with him on implementing our firmwide strategy over the coming years.”
Tony Littner commented: “I am delighted and proud to have been elected co-managing partner of Harbottle & Lewis. Having joined the firm nearly 20 years ago, I continue to be inspired by the work we do for our extraordinary clients. The firm has undergone a period of significant change and growth in recent years and there are undoubtedly many challenges but also exciting opportunities ahead. Having already worked closely and effectively with Charlie for a number of years, I wholeheartedly believe that such challenges and opportunities are best met and exploited as a two-person team.”
